Coronation Street Legend Beverley Callard Receives Fan Love

Coronation Street icon Beverley Callard receives overwhelming support from fans following her update on her current role in a soap opera. Known for her portrayal of Liz McDonald in the popular ITV soap since the ’80s, Beverley joined the show alongside the McDonald family, including her on-screen son Steve, played by Simon Gregson, in 1989.

During her three-decade tenure on the show, Beverley’s character was involved in numerous compelling storylines, from romantic entanglements to intense conflicts. However, in 2019, her departure left devoted fans saddened, bidding farewell to the iconic character a year later.

Since leaving Coronation Street, Beverley has been actively engaged in various projects. In 2020, she participated in the reality show “I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!” and embarked on a travel series with fellow contestant Jordan North. Recently, she made a comeback to the soap world by joining the cast of the Irish soap opera Fair City, portraying the role of Lily, the estranged mother of Gwen.

Currently filming in Ireland for her new soap role, Beverley took to Instagram to share an update with her followers, expressing that she is feeling under the weather. In a video message, she humorously mentioned battling a cold and attributed it humorously to a shortage of her beloved Yorkshire Tea bags, a staple of her routine that she couldn’t find on set.

As fans flooded the comments section with well-wishes for her recovery, Beverley’s post highlighted her love for Dublin despite the tea predicament. Fans expressed their support and hopes for her swift recovery as she navigates her time away from her cherished tea brand.

Don’t miss Coronation Street airing Monday to Friday at 8:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX. For more news, make Daily Mirror your ‘Preferred Source’ on Google News for the latest updates.
