Beloved Seaham Man Killed in Tragic Hit-and-Run

Tributes are flowing in for a beloved individual who tragically passed away after reportedly being struck by a vehicle outside a supermarket in County Durham. The incident occurred on Thursday at the Asda Express garage on Stockton Road in Seaham around 4.50pm, prompting the response of emergency services. Despite the efforts of paramedics, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Following the incident, authorities initiated a murder investigation, identifying the victim as Daniel Ambler. The 23-year-old’s family, in a statement reported by Chronicle Live, described him as a cherished son and brother, highlighting his kind-hearted nature and sense of humor that brought joy to those around him.

Durham Constabulary has launched a murder probe into Daniel’s death and is appealing for information from the public. They are particularly interested in speaking with Ashton Anderson, a 19-year-old wanted on suspicion of murder in connection with the case. Anderson is described as approximately 5ft 10, slim build, with short brown hair. Additionally, three teenagers and a man in his 50s have been arrested in connection with the incident, along with a woman in her teens and two women in their 40s suspected of aiding an offender.
