Condolences are pouring in following the unexpected passing of a cherished individual described as a “dear husband, father, and family member” who tragically died while awaiting the arrival of his second child.
Ayden Xola Peters, a resident of Dundalk in Co Louth, Ireland, passed away suddenly on January 17 at the age of 32, as reported by the Irish Mirror.
In support of his wife Neesha, who is currently seven months pregnant with their second child and caring for their two-year-old, a fundraising initiative has been initiated by close friends and family.
A GoFundMe campaign was established by a family member who expressed the following sentiments: “It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden and devastating loss of our beloved Ayden at the age of 32.
“We are grappling with the unforeseen loss of a dear husband, father, and family member. His unexpected departure has left our entire family in disbelief, with his wife, young child, and unborn baby particularly affected.
“His family is still reeling from the shock. Without any preparation for such a tragedy, they are now confronted with funeral expenses and the daunting task of supporting a young family during this incredibly difficult time.
“We seek to raise funds to cover the funeral costs and provide financial assistance to his wife and children as they navigate life without him. While no sum can alleviate the pain of this loss, your generosity can help alleviate some of the burden, enabling the family to focus on healing, grieving, and supporting one another.
“If you are able to donate, share, or keep this family in your thoughts, it would be deeply appreciated. Thank you for standing by us during this heartbreaking period and demonstrating compassion when it is needed the most.”
The fundraiser has already amassed over €16,500 from the contributions of more than 300 individuals.
Additional tributes were offered in memory of Ayden, with a notice on RIP.ie highlighting that the Dundalk Institute of Technology graduate “leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and dedication to his family”.
The notice further expressed: “Ayden will forever be cherished by his grieving wife Neesha, his beloved son Ahyan, and his unborn child. He is deeply mourned by his sister Meghan, relatives, and a wide network of friends who were touched by his warmth and spirit.
“Ayden will be remembered for his loving demeanor, resilience, and profound affection for those closest to him.”
Friends, neighbors, and colleagues also shared heartfelt messages honoring Ayden, who was a valued employee at the Cooley Distillery in Louth.
