Ikea has rolled out a new discount program for thousands of employees throughout the United Kingdom. Education and healthcare workers are now eligible for a 6% discount at Ikea stores through a collaboration with savings platforms Discounts for Teachers and Health Service Discounts.
Previously, members could only enjoy a 4% discount on Ikea’s website, but the enhanced offer now extends to in-store purchases as well. To avail of the discount, shoppers need to log into the relevant app and scan their code at the checkout.
Jen Haslam, Chief Revenue Officer at Discounts for Teachers and Health Service Discounts, expressed pride in introducing this Ikea discount to members, acknowledging the crucial roles teachers and healthcare workers play in society. She emphasized the importance of recognizing their dedication with tangible benefits.

In a related development, Ikea has introduced a new £2 click and collect fee for online orders to be picked up at its stores starting September 2025. However, members of the Family loyalty program can still access this service for free. Additionally, customers can collect orders from selected Tesco car parks, DPD, or locker pick-up points, with charges applicable for orders below a certain threshold.
For Ikea Family members, click and collect from Tesco or self-serve lockers is free for purchases of £100 or more, or £60 for DPD points. Fees for click and collect services range from £2 to £5. The company aims to provide transparent pricing and expand delivery options to enhance customer convenience.
By making Click and Collect services financially sustainable, Ikea has introduced a £2 fee for non-Ikea Family members. However, joining the free Ikea Family program grants members free collection across all Click and Collect options, including in-store pickups and mobile pick-up points.
