Introducing Fitbit Air: Screen-less Fitness Tracker with Impressive Battery Life

Fitbit, a well-known brand in the fitness industry for over 15 years, has introduced a new product called the Fitbit Air. Unlike previous Fitbit models, the Fitbit Air is screen-less and resembles popular Whoop bands in its design, offering a simpler way to monitor daily fitness activities.

While the Fitbit Air lacks features like message notifications and heart rate monitoring, it boasts several advantages. It is designed for comfort, resembling a bracelet more than a traditional smartwatch. According to a study by Google, the Fitbit Air has been rated as more comfortable than its top competitors.

One of the standout features of the Fitbit Air is its impressive battery life. It can last up to a week on a single charge and offers fast charging capabilities, providing a day’s worth of power in just five minutes. The device comes with a new magnetic charger featuring bi-directional technology for convenient recharging.

Despite its minimalist appearance, the Fitbit Air retains core Fitbit functionalities. It tracks sleep patterns, activity levels, daily exercises, heart rate, and can even alert users to irregular heart rhythms such as AFib. The device is equipped with various sensors including an optical heart rate monitor, accelerometer, gyroscope, oxygen saturation sensors, and a temperature sensor.

Since the Fitbit Air does not have a display, all collected data is seamlessly sent to smartphones. Users can access their health information through the Google Health Coach app for a comprehensive overview of their well-being.

The Fitbit Air is water-resistant up to 50 meters and will be available in four color options: Obsidian, Fog, Berry, and Lavender. When it hits the market, the Fitbit Air will be priced at £84.99.
