The latest rankings of the priciest streets in the UK have been disclosed by the property platform Rightmove, with just one street outside London making the list. Securing the top position yet again is Winnington Road in Barnet, London, boasting an average listing price of £12,538,095.
Following closely behind is Chester Square in Westminster, London, with an average asking price of £11,546,428, and The Bishops Avenue in Barnet, London, claiming the third spot at £8,930,650. The most expensive street beyond London is East Road in Elmbridge, Surrey, standing at an average price of £8,795,714, the sole non-London street in the top 20 list.
In Scotland, Drumsheugh Gardens in Edinburgh leads the way with an average price of £560,000, while Hollybush Road in Cardiff takes the top spot in Wales at £1,237,500. The rankings are derived from data provided by Rightmove, focusing on streets where at least five properties were available for sale in January.
Colleen Babcock, an expert at Rightmove, commented, “The most expensive streets in Britain always attract attention, and this year marks the resurgence of Winnington Road in North London as the costliest street in the country based on asking prices. The majority of the top 20 list is dominated by London addresses, highlighting the city’s supremacy in the luxury property market. For those seeking prestigious addresses outside London, Elmbridge in Surrey stands out as the lone representative from outside the capital in the top 20.”
