Teenager Dies in Tragic Enfield Collision

A tragic collision between a car and a van in Ferny Hill, Enfield, has resulted in the death of a teenager and severe injuries to another, changing their lives forever.

The incident occurred on November 6 at approximately 11:40 pm, prompting a response from the police and London Ambulance Service. Upon arrival, they discovered three individuals, including two teenage boys and an 18-year-old, all injured and subsequently transported to the hospital.

A man in his 40s, believed to be the van’s driver, also sustained injuries and was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Tragically, despite medical efforts, the 18-year-old succumbed to the injuries on November 8. One of the teenage boys experienced life-altering injuries, while the other teenage boy and the van driver sustained injuries deemed non-life-threatening.

Authorities are providing support to the victim’s family through specially-trained officers and are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information about the crash to come forward.

At present, no arrests have been made as investigations by the police are ongoing.

Detective Constable Pauline Redmond, from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, stated: “Our inquiry into the collision continues to determine the circumstances that led to the tragic death of an 18-year-old individual. We aim to bring some solace to the family by understanding the sequence of events. Our sympathies are with all those affected by this devastating incident.

“We urge anyone present in the area at the time of the accident to step forward. It is believed that there were other vehicles with potential dash cam footage or information crucial to our investigation. We encourage them to reach out to us promptly.”
