The deceased, Thomas Casey, 34, was allegedly left untreated despite showing signs of a serious cardiovascular problem, according to his son, Thomas Jr.
Describing the harrowing scene, Thomas Jr recounted his father’s visible suffering and distress while waiting for medical attention. He expressed frustration at the lack of urgency shown by hospital staff and pleaded for his father’s dignity to be respected by requesting a private area.
In a heartbreaking turn of events, Thomas Casey received CPR on the floor of the waiting room before being pronounced dead in a nearby room. The family has raised concerns about the quality of care provided and is awaiting the outcome of an investigation by NHS Mid and South Essex.
Following the incident, the hospital has offered to meet with the bereaved family to address their grievances. Meanwhile, local MP Marie Goldman has expressed deep concern over the matter, emphasizing the need for immediate action to prevent similar incidents in the future.
