In an Instagram post, Dimoldenberg expressed her gratitude to her audience for joining her on this journey and creating countless stories together. She shared her emotional attachment to the show, describing it as her personal romantic comedy, but felt it was time to embark on a new adventure.
Starting the show 12 years ago in Britain’s underground rap scene, Dimoldenberg has since interviewed a variety of celebrities, including Keke Palmer, Conan O’Brien, Paul McCartney, and Jack Harlow, amassing nearly 3.5 million subscribers on her YouTube channel. “Chicken Shop Date” features Dimoldenberg going on casual dates with stars at fried chicken shops in London, engaging in playful and sometimes awkward conversations that resemble first-date banter rather than traditional interviews.
Her interactions have led to memorable moments, such as a flirtatious exchange with Andrew Garfield and a correction to Ryan Reynolds about his wife Blake Lively’s character on “Gossip Girl.” Shania Twain also appeared on the show, revealing she had never met Brad Pitt despite mentioning him in her song “That Don’t Impress Me Much.” Dimoldenberg’s success on YouTube has opened doors for her, including covering the Oscars red carpet, where she interviewed Hudson Williams.
