Recent images from the World Economic Forum in Davos show bruising on Trump’s left hand as well, despite primarily using his right hand for handshakes. Trump disclosed to the Wall Street Journal that he exceeds his doctors’ recommended aspirin intake out of superstition, taking 325 milligrams daily, four times the typical dosage for his age.
When questioned about a new bruise, the White House explained that Trump accidentally hit his hand on a signing table. Press Secretary Leavitt linked the bruising to Trump’s daily handshaking routine and aspirin regimen.
Leavitt was also asked about the timing of Trump’s cognitive tests, which he claims to have excelled in, but she deferred providing details. Trump took to Truth Social to refute claims of declining cognitive abilities, asserting his performance on recent tests and criticizing media reports suggesting otherwise.
Trump has frequently boasted about acing cognitive tests, citing examples like identifying animals. However, a review by the Mirror found discrepancies in the cognitive test versions referenced by Trump.
