“Elon Musk to Headline World Economic Forum at Davos”

Elon Musk is scheduled to address the World Economic Forum in Davos today, as confirmed by event organizers. The discussion will feature Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla, Chief Engineer at SpaceX, and CTO at xAI, along with Laurence D. Fink, Chair and CEO of BlackRock, who serves as an Interim Co-Chair at the World Economic Forum.

This appearance follows a recent public dispute between Musk and Ryanair CEO Michael O’Leary. The disagreement arose when Musk proposed installing his Starlink internet system on Ryanair aircraft, prompting O’Leary to criticize Musk as “an idiot.” Musk even conducted a poll on his X social media platform, inquiring whether he should acquire Ryanair and reinstate “Ryan as their rightful ruler.”

Commenting on the online altercation and the status of his social media platform, O’Leary expressed his negative views on social media, labeling it as a “cesspit” and condemning platforms like TikTok. He advocated for the removal of anonymity on social media to address issues such as inappropriate content and threats posed by anonymous users.

Regarding the ongoing exchange with Musk, O’Leary clarified that he does not engage directly with Musk on the X platform, emphasizing that Ryanair responds via their own X account to Musk’s comments.

Musk’s presentation at Davos comes after a speech by US President Donald Trump at the World Economic Forum, where Trump made remarks about Greenland and emphasized its strategic importance. Trump mentioned the need for Greenland’s protection and security, stating that negotiations for the territory’s acquisition were underway but ruled out the use of force to achieve this goal.
