Family’s Home Destroyed in Car Crash Horror

A woman has shared her harrowing experience of a car crashing into her home while she and her children were watching TV, causing chaos and destruction in just seconds. Paige Amber, 32, was with her partner Joe, 40, and their kids, including a 10-month-old baby, when a Ford Fiesta lost control and plowed into their residence in Capthorne, West Sussex on January 2, hitting the gas main and power supply.

The sudden impact shattered their sense of security, forcing them to evacuate immediately and leave behind all their belongings due to concerns about the building’s stability. Since then, the family has been residing in a cramped Travelodge room without windows.

Recalling the terrifying incident, Paige described the moment when parts of their house were hurled across the room by the collision, likening the sound to a bomb explosion. The shocking scene of their once safe home being destroyed in an instant left her and her family traumatized.

While physical injuries were avoided, the family is still displaced, enduring difficult living conditions in the temporary accommodation. Paige expressed her anguish over leaving behind their meticulously arranged home for the cramped room, lamenting the loss of their comfort and security.

The estimated repair cost for the damaged house is £30,000, with restoration work potentially lasting four months. Additionally, Paige shared that her youngest child had to be hospitalized for a chest infection, adding to their distress.

To alleviate their financial strain, Paige has launched a GoFundMe campaign to assist with essential needs such as clothing, food, and short-term housing. She emphasized the challenges they are facing, feeling overwhelmed by the situation and constantly seeking ways to improve their circumstances.

The emotional toll of the incident has weighed heavily on Paige, admitting to feeling aged beyond her years due to the stress and sleepless nights. She expressed gratitude for any support received, acknowledging the significance of every contribution towards their recovery.

Sussex Police have been contacted for a statement regarding the incident. Donations to the GoFundMe can be made through the provided link to aid the family in their journey towards stability and rebuilding their lives.
