WhatsApp is considering introducing a premium subscription plan called WhatsApp Plus, offering enhanced features for a monthly fee. The upgrade may include the ability to pin up to 20 chats, customize app themes, icons, and colors, as well as access bonus stickers, ringtones, and immersive chat reactions.
While WhatsApp has not officially confirmed this development, test versions of the Plus app have been detected, indicating ongoing work on the feature. It is important to note that the standard free version of WhatsApp will remain available, and users will not be compelled to pay for the premium subscription.
The optional subscription plan is designed to provide added benefits to users who are willing to pay extra. Meta, the parent company of WhatsApp, may continue to introduce more features for premium subscribers in the future. Updates on WhatsApp Plus are anticipated to be revealed in due course.
