Tragic Update: Missing UK Man Found Dead in Thailand

The mother of a young man who went missing in Thailand for over a week has tragically confirmed that his body has been discovered. Joshua Kershaw, a 21-year-old from Grimsby, was last sighted in Pattaya on January 12. He was scheduled to take a flight back home from Bangkok on January 19, but he never boarded the plane, prompting a search effort led by UK authorities who classified him as a high-risk missing individual.

In an effort to locate Joshua, his family initiated a search campaign, and a GoFundMe appeal was also established. However, his mother Jenny from Wakefield shared a heart-wrenching update today, revealing on Facebook: “As much as my heart is breaking right now, we have now found Josh. Unfortunately, he was found deceased. We are now working on repatriating his body to the UK.”

Numerous individuals responded with messages of sorrow upon hearing the news. One person wrote, “So sorry Jen, thinking of you all right now. Been thinking of you all week, was praying he was safe. So sad, RIP Josh.” Another expressed, “Absolutely heart breaking Jen. Thinking of you, your beautiful girls and family! Sending you all so much love.”

Additionally, Jade Kershaw shared the sad update on a GoFundMe page dedicated to finding Joshua, stating: “Our beloved nephew, Joshua, who had been missing in Thailand, has sadly been found deceased in his hotel. This is not the outcome we were praying for, and our family is completely devastated by this loss.”

She also expressed gratitude to everyone who supported their search efforts and mentioned that all donations would now be used to bring Joshua back home and cover funeral arrangements. The family requested continued thoughts and prayers as they cope with this tragic loss.
