Tragic Incident: 2 Men Dead, Pregnant Woman Hospitalized in Aussie River

Two men have tragically passed away, and a woman has been hospitalized following a swimming incident in Australia. The emergency response occurred at John Locke Place in Gleniffer, approximately 530 kilometers north of Sydney, on Sunday, January 25, at 6:45 pm. The individuals, all in their 30s, encountered difficulties while swimming in the Never Never River.

According to a spokesperson from New South Wales Ambulance, emergency teams were alerted to the situation where three individuals were submerged in the water. The woman was rescued and provided on-site medical attention before being transported to the hospital in a serious condition; media reports suggest she is pregnant. Despite efforts, the two men could not be revived and succumbed at the scene.

The Never Never River is a well-liked spot for swimming activities, with tourists often camping along its banks and enjoying a swim in its waters.
