Tragic Deaths Mar Jet-Ski and Reservoir Excursions

A 22-year-old woman who had been reported missing during a jet-ski excursion has sadly been discovered deceased following a three-day search effort. Jaqueline Barbosa Nascimento, who lacked swimming skills, vanished in the water on a Sunday afternoon. Her body was retrieved on the following Wednesday after a search operation involving boats and divers.

Initially deemed accidental, Jaqueline’s death is now under suspicion by the police. She had visited the Jaguari reservoir in Igarat, near São Paulo, Brazil, with acquaintances she had met at a recent party. Despite warnings from close friends not to go, Jaqueline persisted and ventured alone.

Two individuals who accompanied Jaqueline on the jet-ski have provided conflicting statements to the authorities. Investigators plan to review security camera footage from a nearby property to ascertain the events of that ill-fated day.

A post-mortem examination will determine if Jaqueline’s death resulted from drowning. With a background in working at a jeweler and a perfume shop, as well as serving as a production assistant, Jaqueline was a popular social media figure with over 12,000 followers. She is survived by her parents and a younger sister, remembered by her friend Gabrielle as a caring and kind-hearted individual.

In a separate incident, Kimberley Johnson, 33, tragically drowned at the Strinesdale Reservoir in the UK. She was swimming with her partner when the incident occurred. Despite rescue efforts involving the fire service, Kimberley’s body was recovered later that day.

During the subsequent inquest, it was revealed that Kimberley had consumed alcohol and cannabis before entering the water. In a separate tragic event, a 19-year-old from Bolton was found deceased near the Lower Rivington Reservoir after a two-day search operation. His death is not considered suspicious.
