Tesco recently unveiled 270 new and enhanced products in its frozen food range, marking the largest update since 2018. The supermarket has refreshed its brand partnerships, now offering products from popular names like Greggs, Crosta Mollica, Zizzi, White Rabbit, Kitchen Joy, and Itsu, along with introducing new labels such as Street Snacks and Craft Pizza.
Additionally, Tesco has revamped its own-label frozen options, adding air-fryer instructions for energy-conscious consumers. The Finest frozen range has been expanded to include new pizzas, pies, poultry, fish, meat, and desserts. Early Christmas treats like Finest Beef Wellington, Finest Pigs in Blankets, and Finest Potato Dauphinoise are already available in stores.
Tesco has improved over 50 products with updated recipes and packaging, introducing 17 new lines and enhancing seven existing favorites in the meat, fish, and poultry categories. Research by Tesco revealed that one-third of consumers enjoy frozen food at least twice a week.
Naomi Kasolowsky, Tesco’s Frozen Category Director, expressed enthusiasm for the significant overhaul of the frozen aisle, emphasizing the quality, convenience, and value frozen food offers. Tesco members have seen a price increase in the meal deal, with Clubcard holders now paying £3.85 compared to the previous £3.60. The non-Clubcard price has risen from £4 to £4.25.
The popular Tesco meal deal options for Clubcard members include the Tesco Chicken Club Sandwich, Tesco Egg Protein Pot, and Coca-Cola 500ml, priced at £6.50 when purchased separately, saving Clubcard members £2.65. The premium meal deal price has increased to £5.50 for Clubcard holders and £6 for non-members. This marks the third price hike for Clubcard members and the fourth for non-members since the meal deal’s inception. Tesco plans to introduce new products to its premium meal deal soon.
