Teenage Student Passes Away at Darlington College

A school is mourning the loss of a teenage student who tragically passed away at the campus shortly after the start of the new term. Emergency services responded to an incident at Queen Elizabeth Sixth Form College in Darlington on Tuesday, January 13, following concerns about a young man’s well-being. Despite efforts from college staff and emergency responders, the 18-year-old, who remains unidentified, was pronounced deceased at the scene, with authorities stating that there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.

Durham Constabulary confirmed that they received a call regarding the man’s welfare at the college and informed his family, who are receiving support from specialized officers. The police are treating the incident as non-suspicious and will be preparing a report for the coroner.
