Teenage Boy Fatally Stabbed in Guildford’s Stoke Park

Staff at a leisure facility in Guildford made efforts to save the life of a teenage boy who was fatally stabbed last night, according to reports. The 15-year-old succumbed to his injuries in Stoke Park around 6:10 pm, following an incident in the park’s woodland area. Emergency services, including police, fire, and ambulance teams, responded to the scene where the boy was declared deceased. Authorities have informed the boy’s family about the tragic incident.

Rebecca May shared on social media that the staff from Guildford Spectrum made an attempt to resuscitate the boy but were unsuccessful due to the severity of his wounds. Meanwhile, the Mirror spoke to Spectrum staff who refrained from confirming details citing an ongoing murder investigation.

A police presence was visible at a cordon set up in Guildford’s Lido Road car park near Stoke Park Bowling Club early the following morning. The location is in proximity to where the teenager was discovered in the woodland area. Further cordons and police vehicles were observed at the scene, with drone footage capturing the police conducting investigations within the area.

Detective Chief Superintendent Debbie White disclosed that the 15-year-old victim’s identity has not been disclosed yet. She mentioned that both law enforcement and members of the public worked diligently to save the boy’s life at the scene. Ms. White addressed the media at the police cordon in Guildford, expressing condolences to the boy’s family and friends during this challenging period.

The incident, which unfolded in Stoke Park in Guildford, triggered a murder investigation led by the Surrey and Sussex Major Crime Team. Authorities emphasized the importance of not speculating on the circumstances surrounding the boy’s death and urged potential witnesses or individuals with relevant information to come forward promptly. Local residents expressed shock over the incident, highlighting the typically peaceful nature of the area.

The location where the tragic incident occurred is adjacent to a popular treetop adventure park named Wildwood, known for its recreational activities. Police urge anyone present in the vicinity between 6:00 pm and 6:30 pm on the day of the incident to assist with the investigation. The area near the scene is close to Guildford College, student accommodations, and the Spectrum leisure center, offering various recreational facilities.

The victim’s identity remains undisclosed as Surrey Police provide support to the grieving family. Member of Parliament for Guildford, Zoe Franklin, extended sympathies to the family and urged anyone with relevant information to cooperate with the authorities in their investigation.
