Scottie Scheffler Joins $100 Million Club with Elite Golf Legends

Scottie Scheffler has elevated himself into the elite $100 million club alongside golf legends Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy following his commanding victory at The American Express to kick off the season. The current world No.1 has sent a clear message to the reigning Masters champion, signaling that he is a force to be reckoned with in the upcoming Major tournaments.

Last year, Scheffler faced an injury setback in January when a wine glass he was using broke, causing a hand injury. However, he has made a blazing start in 2026 by clinching a four-shot victory in California with a stellar six-under 66 finish, bringing his total PGA Tour wins to 20, all achieved in the last four years and earning him a lifetime membership. Notably, nine of his victories have been by a margin of four shots or more.

With his latest victory, Scheffler’s on-course earnings have surpassed $101 million, aligning him with Woods and McIlroy as the only players to have crossed the nine-figure mark on the PGA Tour. At just 29 years old, Scheffler has also joined the exclusive company of Woods and Jack Nicklaus by securing 20 PGA Tour titles and four majors before turning 30.

Reflecting on his accomplishments, Scheffler humbly remarked, “It’s been a great start to my career. It’s been special. I try not to think about that stuff too much. I was just trying to do the things I needed to do to be prepared.” Since his first win at the 2022 WM Phoenix Open, Scheffler has clinched 11 more victories than McIlroy, with this latest win marking his seventh in the last 13 stroke-play events.

Former world No.1 Jason Day, who finished as a joint runner-up, acknowledged Scheffler’s remarkable performance, likening his consistency to that of Tiger Woods. Looking ahead, Scheffler remains determined to further improve his game, emphasizing that he can reach greater heights despite a slow start in the previous season.

Additionally, rising star teenager Blades Brown emerged as a standout performer of the week, expressing awe at witnessing Scheffler’s triumph firsthand. Despite finishing tied 18th, Brown cherished the experience of competing alongside Scheffler and witnessing his victory.

As Scheffler gears up for the upcoming Masters tournament in April, his rivals in the golfing world are bracing themselves for the potential further rise of this young golf prodigy.
