“Sainsbury’s Reveals Easy Way to Collect Nectar Points”

Sainsbury’s has recommended a simple method for customers to ensure they do not miss out on collecting points. The supermarket chain assured shoppers that even if they forget their loyalty cards, they can still earn Nectar points by providing proof of purchase for in-store items within two weeks of the purchase.

For online shoppers, they can also retroactively receive points by linking the transaction to their loyalty card within 14 days of buying the products. The points should then be added to the Nectar card within a month. This guidance from Sainsbury’s came after a discussion between the retailer and a customer named Michael Reaney on Twitter on April 22.

Michael inquired about getting points added to his Nectar card after purchasing petrol at the West Hove petrol station without his card. The supermarket responded that he could visit the store with his card and receipt within 14 days to have the points added.

This little-known advice from Sainsbury’s could be beneficial for individuals seeking to boost their Nectar points post-purchase. The supermarket giant highlighted that Nectar points can be used for various items, from everyday groceries to beverages at Café Nero. Customers can also convert their points into British Airways vouchers on the company’s website.

Moreover, the Nectar card provides members with access to discounts and special offers when presented during checkout.
