Love Island’s Olivia Hawkins has been hit with a “cease and desist” from another Islander.
Olivia has finally been confirmed as one of the islanders entering Love Island: All Stars next week, but there’s one person she’ll need to steer clear of talking about on the show. The reality star, 29, has reportedly been given a cease and desist letter over a feud she had with Diamanté Laiva, who took part on the show last year.
Despite Olivia not being in the same series as Diamanté, the pair became embroiled in a feud following the latter’s appearance on the show. And Diamante – who is said to have received trolling following her feud with Olivia – reportedly took things further by using legal action to attempt to prohibit Olivia from discussing her publicly.
“Diamanté decided to take legal action to address the situation and put an end to the row. She requested that they cease publishing content related to her,” a source told The Sun. “A formal cease-and-desist letter was sent to their team that week. Since then, they both agreed to move on and not engage with one another further. Things have been quiet ever since.”
After a short-lived stint on Love Island, Diamanté appeared on a radio interview where she slammed fellow islander Jess White for being a ‘bully’ in the villa, something which Olivia heard and took issue with.
Hitting back through her own words, she expressed: “So disgusted by this interview. Calling someone a bully on a big radio show can be so detrimental.” Olivia continued to argue: “There’s definitely better ways you can articulate yourself.”
Countering the negativity, she advocated for Jess and fellow Islanders, saying: “Jess and other Islanders don’t deserve the nasty treatment they’re getting.” She capped off her defence with a plea for understanding, reminding everyone: “Let’s not add fuel to the fire, especially someone who has been on the show and knows how it can be coming out.”
The pair are then said to have had a ‘confrontational’ exchange at an event held by fashion brand Boohoo last summer. After the event, Diamanté claimed Olivia ‘ran away’ after attempting to speak to her.
But a source attending the event told MailOnline: “Diamante was very confrontational at the party and was trying to get a reaction from Olivia. Olivia moved away in a polite manner and continued taking photos for the brand as it was a work event and she wanted to be professional.”
Responding to this, Diamanté denied being “confrontational” and said she was “waiting to talk to her”, explaining: “I made it a point to respect the event we were at, but it was important for me to clear up the situation as this was the first time I’ve seen her in person since she began the drama.”
Olivia’s representatives were not immediately available for comment when approached by the Mirror.
