Nathan Fielder, the well-known Vancouver comedian, writer, and director, has unveiled a teaser for his upcoming documentary project following the latest season of “The Rehearsal.” The documentary focuses on Elizabeth Holmes, the founder of Theranos, who was convicted of fraud in 2022 due to false claims about blood testing capabilities. Titled “You Can See Everything,” the film, created in collaboration with filmmaker Lance Oppenheim, delves into the period leading up to Holmes’s imprisonment in 2023.
Lance Oppenheim, known for works such as “Spermworld” (2024) and “Some Kind of Heaven” (2020), co-produced the documentary with Fielder. Fielder gained recognition through his show “Nathan For You” and his segments on CBC’s “This Hour Has 22 Minutes.” The documentary, distributed by A24, showcases a distinctive visual style and an intense one-minute interaction between Fielder and Holmes.
The trailer for “You Can See Everything” premiered at the Telluride Film Festival and received praise from critics, with Daniel Howat calling it a “hysterical, shocking, insane documentary” and Erik Nordgren labeling it as “the best film of the year.” The documentary’s release in theaters is scheduled for next month.
