“McIlroy Extends Lead at Masters, Defending Title in Sight”

Rory McIlroy is leading the charge in his quest to defend his Masters title. After a strong start in the first round where he tied with Sam Burns, the Northern Irishman extended his lead to two shots in the second round.

McIlroy’s remarkable performance in the opening round included five birdies in the last 11 holes, showcasing his skill with the new TaylorMade Qi10 3-wood. Although his second round was not as spectacular, he maintained a solid performance heading into the final rounds.

Meanwhile, other players faced challenges at the Masters, with Jon Rahm struggling with a score of 78 in the first round. Despite a tough start, Rahm improved in the second round, finishing four over par going into round three.

As the tournament unfolds, the competition remains fierce, with contenders like Patrick Reed, Tommy Fleetwood, and Sam Burns closely trailing McIlroy. The excitement continues at Augusta National, with McIlroy aiming to maintain his lead and secure victory.
