A distressing recording captures a man’s violent outburst towards his partner, threatening to “kill” her during her pregnancy and after the birth of their child. Brandon-Lee Chambers, who strangled his victim post-Caesarean section, can be heard in the recording warning, “One more f****** moan out of you and I swear to God I’m gonna kill you,” while she pleads for mercy and expresses fear.
Chambers subjected his partner to a series of abusive acts from January to June 2023, including strangulation, physical assaults, and causing injuries preventing her from caring for their newborn. At a sentencing hearing in Truro Crown Court, it was revealed that Chambers had violently confronted his pregnant partner, pushing her against a sink unit, and later, after her delivery, he strangled her again.
A recording shared by Chambers’ former partner captured another disturbing incident where he verbally abused her and threatened violence. Chambers can be heard terrorizing his partner, causing her distress and pain. The exasperated victim pleads for him to stop and leave, highlighting the harm he has caused.
During the sentencing, the court learned that Chambers had engaged in a pattern of coercive and abusive behavior towards his partner, leading her to report the violence to the authorities. He eventually pleaded guilty to multiple charges related to domestic abuse. His actions were condemned by Judge James Adkin, who acknowledged the severe impact on the victim and sentenced Chambers to 36 months in prison, with a restraining order against contacting the victim for seven years.
