Katie Price has shared that her son Harvey will soon undergo weight loss injections as he embarks on a new phase in his life, transitioning into adult residential care. The former model disclosed this information in a recent vlog capturing Harvey’s relocation process.
During the video, as Katie drove a van to Harvey’s former college, she expressed the significance of this move for her 23-year-old son. Highlighting that Harvey is now an adult and will reside in a house with other adults and caregivers, Katie admitted feeling nervous about the change, despite preparing Harvey for the transition. She mentioned that Harvey eagerly anticipates being closer to her, emphasizing the positive impact it will have on their relationship.
Katie also revealed that the new living arrangement will allow her to spend more quality time with Harvey, as he will be just a short walk away from her. In addition to the move, she shared that Harvey will commence Mounjaro, a weight loss program involving injections, closely monitored for his well-being.
Expressing excitement about the prospect of spending more time with her son once he settles in, Katie acknowledged the lifestyle adjustments Harvey will undergo post-transition. She humorously mentioned Harvey’s food-related habits and the tailored dietary plan that will accompany his weight loss journey.
Harvey, who has Prader-Willi syndrome, a rare genetic condition leading to overeating and weight gain, alongside autism and ADHD, has been the subject of Katie’s public discussions about his health challenges. Notably, Katie previously mentioned that Harvey had shed a noticeable amount of weight through dietary changes before starting the weight loss injections.
The supportive environment at the residential home, where Harvey will be moving, was evident as the chef discussed accommodating Harvey’s dietary requirements with Katie. Despite initial concerns, Katie expressed optimism about the upcoming changes in Harvey’s life and the care he will receive in his new setting.
