Joshua and Fury Set for Epic Showdown

Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury have officially agreed to face each other in a boxing match. The news was shared by Saudi Arabian boxing chief Turki Alalsheikh on social media, with Joshua confirming his signing of a multi-fight deal. Alalsheikh assured fans in Great Britain that the fight is confirmed. Joshua is set to have a warm-up bout against Kristian Prenga in Riyadh on July 25 before potentially facing Fury in November at Wembley, with the event likely to be aired on Netflix.

Fury recently made a comeback to the ring after a 16-month hiatus, defeating Arslanbek Makhmudov. He disclosed that he had already signed the fight agreement with Joshua, who did not engage in a face-off with him after the bout in Tottenham. Assuming Joshua emerges victorious in his upcoming fight without any injuries, the much-anticipated clash between Joshua and Fury is expected to take place later this year.

Following a car accident in Nigeria that resulted in the loss of two friends, Joshua postponed his return to the ring after his win against Jake Paul last Christmas. He has been focusing on his conditioning in Ukraine alongside champion Oleksandr Usyk, who believes Joshua is on track to becoming the undisputed heavyweight champion. Usyk expressed confidence in Joshua’s abilities, emphasizing his dedication and training regimen.

Fury expressed surprise at Joshua’s absence for a face-off, citing personal struggles and mental health challenges that both fighters have faced. Despite the long-awaited matchup between the two heavyweight stars, Fury highlighted the uncertainties surrounding the fight’s actual occurrence but expressed his desire for the bout to take place after a decade of anticipation.
