Celebrity Big Brother star Jack P Shepherd described a terrifying crash during the latest episode. While the Coronation Street actor made a full recovery, he seemed rattled as he recounted the scary event.
Speaking to his housemates as they sat around the kitchen table, Jack shared that he was on the road when he completely totalled his car in a freak accident.
“I had a big car accident on M62. Yeah, just getting onto the slip road at M62, I f**king skidded, spinned, and went through a barrier, and I was hanging over a bridge for M62. The car was a f**king Italian job,” he recalled.
His fellow ITV stars gasped in horror, and quickly pitched in with their own scary car crashes. Jack has started opening up to his housemates more following yesterday’s live eviction, for which he was nominated – but Trisha Goddard was ultimately chosen as the celeb to head home, the Corrie mainstay a lucky break.
Thankfully Jack survived the harrowing driving experience, as he’s about to embark on an exciting new chapter. Jack is reportedly earning £100,000 for his time on CBB, and an insider said the money was a big motivation for him to sign up considering a major milestone he has coming up this year.
The soap star got engaged to his partner Hanni Treweek last summer, while on a romantic holiday in Tanzania. It’s been rumoured that the couple aren’t waiting long to tie the knot, and are set to get married in July this year.
According to The Sun, Jack plans to use his CBB money to help pay for the wedding. A source told the outlet that the couple are “pulling out all the stops” for the upcoming nuptials.
He spoke about his wedding plans during an exclusive chat with the Mirror, and described: “The wedding is this year. We’re very excited. It’s all done. It’s all paid for. It should be a really good day actually. I love a wedding. Absolutely love a wedding. Weddings and funerals.”
He later added that he was ditching one major tradition, and focusing all on the big day rather than a party beforehand.
“No, I don’t like the idea of going on a stag do where someone just takes the piss out of you all weekend and you’re the butt of every joke and you have to dress up like a f***ing baby.” he admitted. “No, I’m not doing any of that. Han’s not having a hen party either. And I won’t miss it in the slightest.”
While his personal life is changing, however, Jack has no plans to switch up his career. During a recent interview, he divulged: “I’ve just celebrated 25 years on Corrie and I don’t see myself going anywhere,” Jack said when asked about going on a reality show.
“I think it’s not unusual for one of these flagship shows, like Big Brother, the jungle, Dancing On Ice, to have a face from Corrie.”
