Iranian State TV Threatens Trump with Image of Bloody Ear

Iranian state television has made a chilling threat against US President Donald Trump following his remarks encouraging opposition to the Iranian regime. The broadcast included an image of Trump with a bloody ear, accompanied by a message indicating an impending attack on his life.

Trump, in response, claimed to have reliable information that executions in Iran had ceased, despite reports of ongoing crackdowns on protesters by the government in Tehran. He had previously expressed support for Iranian protestors and promised assistance to them.

According to activists, between 2,500 and 3,000 individuals have been killed during the recent protests in Iran. The country’s justice chief, Gholamhossein Mohseni-Ejei, urged swift action to prosecute over 18,000 detainees through expedited trials and executions.

Families have expressed distress over the swift sentencing of their loved ones, such as Erfan Soltani, who was set to be executed for participating in anti-government demonstrations. Erfan was charged with a capital offense and faced a hasty trial resulting in a death sentence.

Amid escalating tensions, Britain has closed its embassy in Iran and reduced its diplomatic presence in the country due to security concerns. The British government has advised its citizens against traveling to Iran in light of the situation.

Foreign Office travel guidance has been updated to reflect the closure of the British Embassy in Tehran and the operational changes made in response to the security risks.
