Geordie Shore is back on our screens for its 25th series, with episode one now streaming on Paramount+.
This season the Geordies have headed to Thailand to celebrate Kyle Christie’s stag-do which has been organised by his best pal James Tindale.
In the opening episode, the pair are joined by Ricci Guarnaccio and Jay Tindale in Ko Samui while Nathan Henry, Sophie Kasaei, Chloe Ferry and Abbie Holborn live it up in Bangkok.
During a conversation between Nathan and Chloe on a rooftop, Nathan revealed his dad was diagnosed with stage four lung cancer.
He told the cameras: “Bangkok is a massive distraction and that’s exactly what I need right now. Since last time, my dad has been diagnosed with stage four lung cancer and it has been a tough time for all of my family.
“When I found out, I didn’t know how to react, I didn’t know what to do, I just went numb and I kind of shut down. It’s only recently that I’ve actually started to process things.”
While confiding in his pal, Nathan said: “Its not something that’s gonna go away, its something that’s there, my dad has cancer.”
Chloe responded: “It’s awful, you should never have those words come out of your mouth.”
Becoming overcome with emotion, Nathan started sobbing and had to be comforted by Chloe as the pair embraced.
“It is scary, the thought of losing a parent is unbearable. I don’t know, he’s my dad,” the I’m A Celebrity Australia star admitted in his confessional.
Chloe assured him that even though it’s his dad that is going through the illness, it’s important for him to also take a break.
The reality star said she could relate to what her friend was going through as she also lost her dad to cancer.
Chloe revealed the news of her dad’s passing in December 2021 as she shared the tragic announcement with her followers on Instagram.
She said at the time: “I’ve struggled to write this and still can’t accept it what I’m about to say! I’m a very open person and normally happy to share all details of my life, however this is a time where I really need to have some privacy.
“I sadly lost my dad after his battle with cancer and it still doesn’t feel real! I am going to take a break from social media and work commitments.”
