“EasyJet Flight Diverts as Passenger Hallucinates ‘Snakes on a Plane'”

An easyJet flight had to land urgently when a passenger, who appeared to be hallucinating, believed there were snakes roaming the aircraft. The individual, wearing a snake-patterned shirt, reportedly yelled, “Snakes on a plane! We must land!”

According to a source, it became evident that the passenger was possibly under the influence and experiencing delusions. The situation was unsettling for families on the easyJet flight, with uncertainty surrounding the passenger’s claims of a snake loose in the cabin at 30,000 feet.

The passenger then allegedly turned threatening, prompting the flight, traveling from Gatwick airport to Marrakesh, Morocco, to divert and make an emergency landing in Faro on a Saturday afternoon.

Upon landing, local authorities awaited the plane and escorted the passenger off the aircraft. The 190-passenger flight resumed its journey to Marrakesh, landing eight hours later than scheduled, as reported by The Sun.

This incident follows a previous occurrence where an easyJet passenger was removed from a flight for making racist remarks. The woman, in her 50s, was asked to leave the Belfast to Manchester flight in January after directing hate speech and offensive language towards other passengers.

An eyewitness, Shauna Corr, recounted the distressing incident, emphasizing the woman’s inappropriate behavior and racist comments towards various individuals, including Muslims and Ukrainians.

Despite warnings from cabin crew and fellow travelers, the disruptive passenger persisted with her offensive behavior, leading to her eventual removal from the aircraft. Witnesses praised the crew for handling the situation effectively.

The disruptive behavior of the passenger reportedly began mid-flight when she allegedly took a packet of Tayto crisps without paying from a crew member.
