“Conor Benn Criticizes Eubank Jr for ‘Victim Mentality'”

Conor Benn has criticized his rival Chris Eubank Jr for displaying a ‘victim mentality’ following the release of a troubling video showing Eubank Jr receiving medical treatment in a hospital setting. The footage depicted Eubank Jr, aged 36, lying still on a bed connected to medical equipment and surrounded by healthcare professionals.

The video elicited widespread sympathy from fans, with some suggesting that Eubank Jr should consider retiring, especially after his defeat to Benn in their rematch at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium last November. Benn, however, questioned the motives behind Eubank Jr’s video post, implying that it might be an attempt to garner sympathy.

Speaking to the Mail, Benn mentioned hearing about Eubank Jr experiencing health issues like IBS during his training camp and possibly a stomach cyst post-fight. Despite this, Benn appeared unconcerned, emphasizing that he believes the health conditions are not severe and implying that there may be an ulterior motive behind the video sharing.

Benn highlighted his own undisclosed struggles, emphasizing the challenges fighters face and stating that he never seeks sympathy or complains about his hardships. He recounted an incident where he tore a tendon before a fight but continued without seeking public sympathy.

Eubank Jr clarified in his social media post that he does not intend to retire, acknowledging his recent health struggles but expressing determination to return to boxing when he has fully recovered. He reassured fans of his commitment to making a comeback in the future.
