“Ant and Dec’s Decisive Health and Fitness Journey”

Declan Donnelly has decided to give up indulging in Saturday night takeaways as part of his new year’s resolution. The 50-year-old, known for being one half of the popular TV duo Ant and Dec, shared that he aims to prioritize fitness by hitting the gym. This revelation coincided with the launch of their new podcast. While attempting Dry January like his teetotal partner, Dec humorously admitted that his resolve did not last long, lasting only a week.

Reflecting on his attempt at Dry January, Dec mentioned a particularly hectic day with his children, attributing it to his decision to abandon the initiative. Ant lightheartedly applauded Dec’s effort and humorously mentioned his own sobriety journey. Despite abandoning Dry January, Dec remains committed to achieving fitness and health goals in 2026, sharing a recent experience at an infrared sauna.

In contrast, Ant shared his focus on expanding his vocabulary in 2026, inspired by his son’s rapid language development. The duo, who gained fame in their teenage years on the kids’ TV show Byker Grove, have since become prominent presenting figures and parents. They have hosted popular shows such as Saturday Night Takeaway, I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!, and the quiz show Limitless Win.

Dec is a father to a seven-year-old daughter named Isla and a three-year-old son named Jack. Ant, on the other hand, is a father to his son Wilder and step-daughters Poppy and Daisy from his wife Anne-Marie’s previous marriage. Recently, the duo signed a lucrative ITV deal estimated at around £30 million, extending their partnership with the channel until 2028, marking three decades with the broadcaster.

Their podcast, “Hanging Out With Ant & Dec,” is now available on all podcast platforms. For more entertainment news and updates, follow Mirror Celebs on various social media platforms.
