A fresh face is taking over the courtroom on television as CBS Media Ventures unveiled a trailer for “Adam’s Law,” a new daytime syndicated series featuring Adam Levy, the 58-year-old son of the renowned Judge Judy. Known for her sharp wit and no-nonsense approach, Judge Judy’s son appears to bring a similar energy, firing off clever remarks that echo his mother’s style.
Despite initial reservations, Judge Judy admits in the trailer that she was not eager to pass on the gavel to her son years ago. She jokingly expresses concern that he may outshine her, stating, “I think he has the talent to beat me – and I don’t like the idea of that.”
Executive produced by Judge Judy herself, “Adam’s Law” is scheduled to debut on September 14, five years after the conclusion of the original “Judge Judy” series, which enjoyed immense success over 25 seasons. With Levy’s extensive legal background, including serving as a district attorney and teaching trial advocacy, viewers can anticipate a commitment to truth and justice on the new show.
Confident in her son’s abilities, Judge Judy believes that “Adam’s Law” will become a top-rated daytime program, appealing to audiences much like her show did for three decades. With his legal expertise and engaging personality, Levy is set to continue the family legacy in the legal TV realm.
The upcoming series will air on various CBS-owned stations in the U.S., including CBS LA and WCBS-TV, and will also be available in Canada on Citytv and Citytv+ starting September 14.
