A specialist in lip-reading has exposed a tense exchange among members of the Beckham family during the premiere of David Beckham’s documentary series. Recent claims made by Brooklyn Beckham on Instagram Stories have reignited interest in footage from the event, where David, Victoria, and their four children were in attendance.
Forensic lip reader Nicola Hickling, in collaboration with Covers.com, analyzed clips from the red-carpet event held in London in October 2023. During the occasion, Brooklyn was seen engaging in a conversation with Romeo, mouthing the words “I hated it,” as interpreted by Nicola.
The expert suggested that Brooklyn’s remark could be linked to a moment of discomfort standing next to his parents for photos or a prior incident when David seemed to pull away from him. Brooklyn also mentioned, “She’s in tears,” seemingly referring to his wife, Nicola Peltz Beckham.
Nicola observed that Brooklyn appeared strained, trying to maintain composure despite underlying tension. Victoria was seen issuing a warning to Cruz and Harper at the photo wall, indicating a sense of urgency in her instructions.
Additionally, Victoria’s behavior towards Brooklyn and Nicola was noted to be tense, as she partially concealed her mouth while expressing frustration to her assistant. Both Victoria and David have not publicly responded to Brooklyn’s statements.
