Sky customers are facing issues with the ITVX app, where some users are reporting a glitch that abruptly jumps to the end of programs. Complaints began surfacing last week, with viewers frustrated by the unexpected skips to the credits without any manual input.
In discussions on Sky’s forum page, a user named Dazzasky mentioned experiencing the problem with ITV Player skipping to the end of episodes, causing inconvenience for several days. Another user, Dawn, also shared a similar experience of programs randomly jumping to the end, often at the start or after an ad break.
The technical hiccup seems to impact users with Sky’s online devices such as Sky Stream boxes and Glass TVs. While it remains uncertain if Sky Q is affected, most complaints are from users using broadband-driven gadgets rather than satellite dishes.
Although the root cause of the issue is unknown, a Sky representative named Kev acknowledged the problem and assured users that the company is collaborating with ITV to resolve it. Kev conveyed that the support teams are actively working on a fix and promised to provide updates as soon as more information is available.
For now, users may have to tolerate the skipping problem, but a solution is in progress. Mirror Online will keep readers informed with any developments on the matter.
