“Bomb Scare at Trump Golf Club: Emergency Response Dispatched”

Emergency services were called to a security incident at a golf club owned by Donald Trump shortly after his son departed earlier today. The Defence Forces’ Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team, also known as the bomb squad, was dispatched to the Trump International Golf Links & Hotel in Doonbeg, County Clare, Ireland following the delivery of an envelope suspected to contain a powdery substance.

The occurrence transpired after Eric Trump, a 42-year-old businessman, had left the premises to travel to Davos, Switzerland for the World Economic Forum (WEF). Both Donald Trump and Eric are currently in Davos for the event with the theme “A Spirit of Dialogue,” scheduled from January 19 to January 23.

Notably, the luxury hotel had previously faced a bomb threat leading to a police inquiry. Despite the security alert, the hotel remained open and was closed for the winter season. Authorities, including a specialized sniffer dog unit from Dublin, conducted a thorough search on-site but found nothing suspicious. A spokesperson for the Defence Forces declined to provide details on the ongoing operation.

Local police confirmed an ongoing incident in west Clare without specifying the exact location, although sources indicated that the affected site was indeed Mr. Trump’s hotel complex. A Garda spokesman stated that they were managing an active situation at a property in West Clare and would not comment further at the moment.

Eric Trump had stayed at the hotel the previous night before departing for Davos. Earlier the same day, Mr. Trump shared an aerial image of the Doonbeg site, announcing that it would host the Irish Golf Open from September 9 to 13 this year.

Reportedly, the security alert was triggered by the delivery of the envelope containing a suspicious substance to the site. Emergency services swiftly responded to the Trump International Golf Links & Hotel in Doonbeg, County Clare, Ireland, which is under the ownership of Donald Trump.
