“Starmer Slams Farage’s Party for Attracting Ex-Tory Members”

Keir Starmer criticized Nigel Farage’s party for attracting former Tory politicians in its latest recruitment. During a tense session of PMQs, the Prime Minister jokingly mentioned that Conservative members were joining Reform, including ex-Chancellor Nadhim Zahawi, who recently left the Tory government amid tax issues.

Starmer highlighted Reform’s lineup, mentioning a mayoral candidate with a dislike for London, a new Tory member with tax payment struggles, and a leader spending more time in France than in his constituency. The Prime Minister humorously referred to the “Ikea shadow cabinet” during a visit to IKEA, comparing it to a cabinet made of defective nuts defecting to Reform.

Referring to Farage’s party as a “laundry service of disgraced Tory politicians,” Starmer criticized the trend of former Tory MPs switching allegiances. In response, Kemi Badenoch assured the Prime Minister that she was fine, while Farage took a swipe at Reform’s mayoral candidate, highlighting perceived shortcomings in the party’s leadership.
