In a heartfelt statement, Lilah expressed her overwhelming emotions upon being selected as the flagbearer for the opening ceremony alongside bobsleigh pilot Brad Hall. British curlers are expected to build on their success from 2022, particularly after the women secured a gold medal. The team also boasts top-notch skeleton athletes, including world champion Matt Weston and his close companion Marcus Wyatt.
Among the leading medal hopefuls are Mia Brookes, Kirsty Muir, Zoe Atkin, and Charlotte Bankes, all vying for Team GB’s first Olympic gold or silver medal on snow. The competition, running until Feb 22 with extensive coverage on the BBC, will witness nearly 3,000 athletes from 90 countries competing for 116 medals at Milan-Cortina.
