Bernadette Hunt, best known as Falcon from the iconic television series Gladiators, passed away in 2023 at the age of 59 after battling cancer. In her will, she left a substantial inheritance to her family, with her son and daughter receiving a significant sum totaling hundreds of thousands of pounds.
According to probate documents obtained by The Sun, Bernadette’s estate amounted to £293,000 after accounting for debts and expenses from the original £444,000. This meant that her children, Adam and Angel, inherited close to £300,000 from her estate.
Gladiators, the beloved 90s TV show, made a comeback last year, attracting a large audience. However, just before filming was set to begin, Bernadette, known affectionately as Falcon, tragically passed away after her battle with cancer. Her absence from the show left a noticeable void for fans worldwide.
During her time on Gladiators, Bernadette participated in every series until its conclusion. The show featured members of the public competing against a team of ‘gladiators’ in various challenges, and it quickly gained immense popularity, making household names out of the original cast members.
Rick Jango, the partner of Bernadette’s older sister, announced her passing on Facebook, describing her as a kind-hearted individual who was always gracious to fans. Known for her participation in challenges like Joust, Powerball, and Tilt, Bernadette garnered a loyal following who affectionately dubbed her the ‘nicest Gladiator.’
Before her television career, Bernadette trained as a ballerina and aerobics instructor. She gained recognition in the competitive scene, winning titles such as Miss Natural Health and Miss Novice Britain. Following her time on Gladiators, she transitioned to a career as a personal trainer in Basingstoke.
Bernadette is survived by her partner Mark and their two children, Angel and Adam. Her legacy as Falcon on Gladiators and her impact on fans will always be remembered.
