“Beauty Bay Contemplates Ownership Change Amid Advisor Engagement”

A prominent e-commerce beauty retailer may soon change ownership as advisors have been engaged to assess the company’s future. Beauty Bay, established in 1999 by siblings Arron and David Gabbie in Manchester, offers a wide array of products from over 200 brands, including popular names like Ariana Grande, Clinique, and MAC, alongside its own line.

According to a recent report from Sky News, Beauty Bay is considering various funding options, including a potential sale of the company. Interpath, an advisory firm, is reportedly collaborating with Beauty Bay on this matter. Presently, Beauty Bay has a workforce of 65 employees, and inquiries have been made to the company by Mirror for further details.

In related news, Malin + Goetz, a beauty brand, has entered administration, leading to the closure of its seven stores in London. This move is anticipated to impact more than 70 jobs, with online orders temporarily halted. While the Malin + Goetz website is undergoing maintenance, customers can still purchase their products through third-party retailers like Liberty, John Lewis, and Space NK.

A spokesperson from Malin+Goetz expressed regret over the closure of UK stores, citing a thorough business review and the exhaustion of viable alternatives as reasons for the decision. The brand, founded in New York in 2004 by Matthew Malin and Andrew Goetz, initially offered six products catering to all skin types but has since expanded into fragrance, bodycare, and other beauty segments.
