“Lorraine Kelly Thanks Husband for Support Amid Book Success”

Lorraine Kelly has revealed a heartfelt confession, expressing gratitude for her husband’s support while she focuses on her latest professional endeavor. The veteran TV presenter, aged 66, has been a familiar face on television since her debut on TV-Am in 1984.

With a career spanning various programs like GMTV and Daybreak, Lorraine took a new path recently by publishing her debut novel, “The Island Swimmer,” in 2024. She shared her joy in witnessing readers enjoy her book and spotting it on shelves.

During a Radio 4 interview on Saturday Live, Lorraine admitted to the challenges of writing her first book, initially overcrowded with characters and plotlines. She praised her husband, Steve Smith, for his understanding and support during her writing process.

Looking ahead, Lorraine is preparing to release her second novel, “The Island’s Secrets,” later this year, set in the picturesque Orkney. She expressed her love for the location, even considering relocating there for inspiration.

In the meantime, viewers can catch Lorraine on her latest TV venture, “Lorraine Kelly’s Norwegian Odyssey,” airing tonight at 8 pm on Channel 4. The show follows her exploration of the Norwegian coastline, including majestic fjords, breathtaking mountains, and a quest to witness the Northern Lights, while immersing herself in Norwegian culture and cuisine.
