Wetherspoon has kicked off its January Sale today in 600 of its pubs, offering a pint of beer starting at just 99p. The discounted drinks lineup includes a 99p pint of Worthington’s beer, Coldwater Creek wine for £2.99 per 250ml glass, Johnnie Walker Black Label (25ml with a mixer) at £1.99, and Tanqueray gin (25ml with a mixer) also at £1.99.
Additionally, customers can choose from a variety of low-alcohol and alcohol-free options such as Guinness 0.0, Corona Cero, Brewdog Punk AF, Stella Artois Alcohol Free, Erdinger Isotonic, Thatchers zero, Koppaberg Alcohol Free, and Gordons 0.0 pink gin, each priced at £1.69. Beck’s Blue and Sanpellegrino Aranciata Rossa are on sale for 99p each. Discounts are also available on Wetherspoon food items, including an 11-inch Margherita pizza or a chicken burger with chips for £4.99 with a soft drink, or £6.52 with an alcoholic beverage.
For those craving jacket potatoes, there is a deal offering a choice of six fillings for £4.99 with a soft drink, or £6.52 with an alcoholic drink. Customers can add an extra filling or side salad for 99p. New gourmet jacket potatoes are available at £6.49 with a soft drink and £8.02 with an alcoholic drink.
These gourmet options include a loaded spud with cheese, maple-cured bacon, garlic butter, and sour cream, a Mexican spud vegetarian option with chilli bean non-carne, cheese, guacamole, crushed tortilla chips, sliced chillies, and coriander, and a smoky potato with pulled BBQ beef brisket, cheese, smoky chipotle mayo, and sliced chillies.
Wetherspoon’s founder and chairman, Tim Martin, expressed excitement for the sale, noting that the wide range of drinks and food aims to cater to diverse tastes, including a selection of low and non-alcoholic beverages. The January Sale will be available in 600 pubs from January 2, extending to January 15, with different prices at the company’s other 200 venues.
