A six-year-old girl sustained a brain injury when a children’s playground ride malfunctioned in Ulan-Ude city, located in Russia’s Siberia region. The incident occurred as three girls were on a carousel during a birthday celebration when a metal part of the ride, resembling a tree, collapsed on one of the children, rendering her unconscious. The other girls quickly left the Kovboy (cowboy) play center where the incident took place.
Following the accident, the Russian Investigative Committee initiated a criminal investigation into the incident. The Committee stated that a significant piece of the carousel structure fell on the young girl at an indoor play center in Ulan-Ude, causing injuries that necessitated hospitalization. The victim was rushed to the hospital with a traumatic brain injury and concussion, as reported by local sources. Those found responsible for the unsafe ride could potentially face a jail term of up to two years.
The unfortunate event occurred amidst the mourning of a 12-year-old boy, Logan Carter, who tragically passed away after reportedly falling from a roundabout at a playground with a history of accidents in Winsford, Cheshire. Logan, a devoted Liverpool fan, received medical attention from emergency responders but unfortunately succumbed at the scene. Reports indicated that Logan might have been thrown off the roundabout, with local claims suggesting the use of an e-bike to spin the equipment.
In a heartfelt statement, Logan’s family described him as a beloved son, brother, grandson, great-grandson, cousin, and friend to many, highlighting his vibrant personality and infectious smile. They expressed their deep sadness over the loss of Logan, emphasizing his ability to bring joy to those around him and the irreplaceable void his absence has left.
The family sought solace in the outpouring of support they received while they come to terms with the sudden loss of their cherished family member.
